Topper Park (Vancouver, Washington)

Small riverside park. Supposedly a public green space operated by the City of Vancouver, which was willed for public use upon the demise of a local landowner. However, because all ways into the park are blocked by gates leading into snooty, exclusive neighborhoods, adjoining the park, only these wealthy few can enjoy it, or even get a close look at it.

  • Oh yeah, and one of these rich neighbors of the park has cited by police for illegally cutting several trees in the park (to improve his view of the river from his house). Nice, uh?
