Albany's City Hall was completed in 1882 and was designed by Henry Hobson Richardson. It houses the offices of Mayor Gerald D. Jennings. Built in a modified French Romanesque style, City Hall has a stone exterior and red tile roof. The clock tower contains a 60-bell carillon that is still played today. Albany City Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
