This is actually two hotels: the Horton Grand and the Brooklyn-Kahle Saddlery. Both hotels are real brick structures and were both built in 1886. Facing demolition for the Horton Plaza Shopping Center, the hotels were completely dismantled brick by brick and later reassembled here as one hotel. Wyatt Earp lived in the Brooklyn-Kahle for the majority of his seven years in San Diego.
