Knights Ferry is a unincorporated historic community in Stanislaus County, California. It is about 40 miles east of Modesto on the Stanislaus River. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, it was an important mining town during the gold rush. It is home to the longest covered bridge west of the Mississippi at 330 feet in length. Today, it is home to a museum about the history of the town and also about local wildlife. The towns ruins include a mill and a prison.

Knights Ferry is the "put in" location for Class I-II rafting trips on the Stanislaus River. Rafting most often occurs through the months of May through October.
