City Gate - also known as Bieb il-Belt in Maltese - is the main entrance to Malta's capital city, Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The former structure was built in 1964 and its design remained a source of controversy among the Maltese public.

The present gate was was built between 2011 and 2014.
