Kirchner Museum (Davos)

Switzerland / Graubunden / Davos / Ernst Ludwig Kirchner-Platz

This museum features the works of artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938) who lived in the Davos area from 1917 until his death. Kirchner was a German expressionist and one of the founders of the artists group Die Brücke or "The Bridge", which played a key role in creating the style of Expressionism. Kirchner's work was branded as "degenerate" by the Nazis, and this was a contributing factor to his suicide.
