Punta Gorda Light

The 4th-order Fresnel lens was first lit on January 15, 1912 and deactivated in 1951 with the departure of the Coast Guard. The BLM burned down the wooden structures to discourage hippie infestation, leaving the lighthouse and oil house behind.
