bus terminal, waiting room
This is the waiting room for the National Express coach passengers. The facade is mainly brick and is curved at the sides. It is an unusual piece of 1960s architecture because of the materials used however it still appears as 1960s and has now become drab. It was constructed after the road was widened into four lanes so more traffic could enter Birmingham. The waiting room is light and open but still remains with the drab interior that the original station had. The floor above are offices for National Express and some of the windows unusually have balconies which are known to not be used due to Health and Safety reasons.
