  • In 1969/1970, Las Pulgas had nowhere the amount of "comfy" buildings which are now showing. Concrete walled billets, 1 chow hall, NO Taco Bell. 24/7, it was the firing area for 30 cal. machineguns, grenade practice, artillery ranges, and just past Basilone Rd., the drop point for the air wing from ElToro, which used our base as a target area for bombing runs. You think there is "nothing" at this base now? You should have seen in in 69/70! Spartan would be the word...nothing but pure business in the act of war.
  • It hasn't changed much since 1985 except for the addition of the E-Club and Taco Bell - everything else still seems the same. HQ 1/11 Comm (NGF)
  • hey there diaz, its not an e-club, its an smp. HQ 2/11 comm is where its at son!
  • Las Pulgas was a place to clear your mind... It either was deathly quiet to clear your thougthts or, the rumbling of the ground from the 500 pounders exploding to remind you that you were in the business of combat. Have many great memories and some "not so great" ones also. Many of you great young men doing what most others would not even dare try! Semper Fi my brothers! I prefer Taco Bueno myself...
