This site near dharmavaram is near to the banks of River Gosthani and would have been a trade point during Buddhist period in India.
These hillocks used to be referred as rakshas and deyyala dibbas in local languages due to Brahminical impact rise from the late 8th century AD.
This hillock is badly damaged due to Illegal Quarrying
