The current City Hall of San José California, opened in 2005 and is located at 200 East Santa Clara Street, San José, CA 95113. It is designed by arch. Richard Meier. The complex is large, with the 18 story tall tower totaling 550,000 square feet (46,000 m²).
The original design proposal called for a peak height of 320 feet, but it did not pass FAA approval due to the building's proximity to the airport's flight path.
