Original site of Oil-fired Plant Henry Atkinson, built in 1930 (unit 1?). Coal-fired Plant Jack McDonough (units 2 and 3) was finished across from the original site in 1964. A third generation of generating technology, natural gas combined-cycle units 4, 5, and 6 began coming online in December 2011. The original oil and coal-fired units 1, 2, and 3 are retired.
