Wetland area that city of Spokane is in process of destroying. Please keep in mind that Spokane is a very dry area and does not have many natural wetlands.
When Spokane was first settled, this farm was originally used to make ice as the water that comes out of the three natural springs here make ice year round.
The old brick farm house is the original home. Receipts for ice sold to local pioneers and other interesting antiques have been found in the walls during routine maintenance of the residence.
Present residents have been forced into selling this farm by the city of Spokane after being intimidated through numerous legal threats and livestock mutilations.
