place with historical importance, flatiron building, 1893_construction
Located in the historic St. Joseph neighborhood since 1893 sits one of the few flatiron buildings remaining in Indianapolis. The building was the longtime home of The Elbow Room, which opened shortly after the repeal of prohibition in 1933. Before its closure in 2017, The Elbow Room featured a casual, pub-like atmosphere ideal for relaxing with friends, watching your favorite sports teams, or enjoying a game of pool in the upstairs bar.
In 2019, the building was christened The Point on Penn, a multi-restaurant concept.
