Called Satellite Hill by locals, the Holmdel teleport was initially established in 1982 and is a 10,000 square foot facility located 46 miles from downtown New York City. At the teleport, the transmission needs of ISPs, television broadcasters, cable programmers, government agencies, carriers, business television and radio users are regularly served. The teleport has access to a variety of spacecraft from 359 degrees East Longitude as well as the U.S. domestic arc serving the Pacific, Atlantic, and Western Indian Ocean region for customers requiring access to the world's largest telecommunication centers.

SeaMobile Enterprises is the dominant global service provider of at-sea communications, connectivity and content services. Their global VSAT is delivered by the industry leader, Maritime Telecommunications Network (MTN), a SeaMobile company.
