The Indiana Yearly Meeting was held in Richmond and after 1858, the newly formed Western Yearly Meeting held its Yearly Meeting in Plainfield. The Yearly Meeting was a week-long event that gathered thousands of Friends together. Quakers from the entire state as well as western Ohio and eastern Illinois came together for worship, business and fellowship.
