Currently run by SITA. This transfer station used to be busy at one time, handling all the bin rubbish from Scotswood and the surrounding areas, until the bin wagons were moved to Byker. It currently handles little waste only brought in by street sweepers, and gullys. You will find Paul McCartney on site a very nice chap.
