This building houses the main administrative offices for Girls and Boys Town operations across the United States. The campus-style, white-stucco structure located on a scenic lake also is home to a conference center. The building was originally designed as a center for the study of youth development. A groundbreaking ceremony was held in 1975 and included Mother Teresa of Calcutta as one of the dignitaries. Other dignitaries who have headed or attended conferences at the building include former President Gerald Ford and author and former Secretary of Education and White House Drug Czar, William J. Bennett.
