  • Margarita has sure changed since I was with 1/5 from '77-83. Like, why are there a bunch of vee-hickles parked in my Outdoor Theater? What happened to the chow hall building that was the PX? How come the 2/5 and 3/5 areas (what we called them at the time) are missing all the squad bays? Where are the quonset hut company offices on the southern point of the Hill overlooking Chappo? What have you people done with my Margarita?
  • "What have you people done with my Margarita?" They gave it to recon....lol. I suppose you remember the quonset hut "E" Club days.... The 2/5 squad bays are still on the south end. Luckily, I got moved to that Hotel Barracks over too close to 1/5 turf.
  • Eggs to order with hash browns, bacon, grits, coffee and all the homo milk you could drink. NCO deck beffus. Actual Marine cooks used to clean the copper pipes in those long steam tables with lime Kool-Ade. Fill them up, dump in the powder and get them hot. You've never seen copper and brass gleam like that when it's drained.

  • i was stationed in a messhall in san onofre.it was 1 out of 2 messhalls.what is the number of the first messhall.i loved that messhall and the food that was pepared there.1 was the bookkeeper for a year and a half.
