New Jersey Transit and Greyhound bus terminal

Tishman Construction served as Construction Manager for a new bus terminal in Atlantic City for New Jersey Transit that was built adjacent to an existing bus terminal. The new terminal consists of 20 spaces for buses to load and unload passengers, ticketing counters, an auxiliary police station, retail space and office space.

In order to maintain continuous bus service, and at the request of New Jersey Transit, Tishman Construction built the project in phases. First, the loading/unloading area of the new terminal was built, while the existing terminal was utilized for support functions such as ticketing and shopping. Then, the new terminal was constructed, with careful attention to keeping the operations of the existing facility running smoothly until the new terminal was completed. Finally, the old terminal was demolished to make room for a retail development.
