The Brisons

The Brisons consist of two islets around 25m high. Situated one mile off Cape Cornwall, forming the end of a reef that stretches from the cliff south of Cape Cornwall all the way out to the Brisons. The reef stays covered for most states of the tide and is only visible on certain tides, or when the reef causes a swell to break. Being invisible for most of the time and the fact that the reef is so long, it has been the cause of many shipwrecks of which all but a few have been long forgotten.
