A beautiful island off the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry. Despite its isolated position it has several claims to fame including the oldest fossil trackway, as well as being the eastern landfall of the transatlantic telegraph cable.

It is linked to the mainland by a bridge at Portmagee and a car ferry at Knightstown. Panoramic views over the Iveragh and Dingle Peninsulas.
