It is under Tribhuvan University and adjoining livestock farm towards north. The area in west is aquaculture ponds. It is the oldest veterinary school, and was the only school to produce 20-30 vets per year until 2006. It currently has graduate (postgraduate) programs in medicine, microbiology, theriogenology and pharmacology.
