A shopping plaza on the northeastern border of Coral Springs, opened in 1996 (as "Hawk's Crossing") with a Winn-Dixie supermarket as the "anchor" store of the shopping center. It closed down after a few years, so much of the plaza lay vacant, until a Super Target was proposed for this area. In order to accommodate the Target store, about two-thirds of the plaza was torn down to allow for retail space, parking, and access roads.
