Machhipada is a big village with population of more than 10000. it contain 18 sahis(Streets), five ponds, three temples, two play grounds, one High school, one UP school, one M.E. school & one hill (kundakhai). Machhipada is a famous village because it stands for peace. In this village most of the people depends on business. businees meance Chhenapoda (baked paneer), transport,small celler mills. clothe mills,entertainment business etc. Now mr satya badi mohapatra is the president of machhipada.

festival : Tinidola Jatra is the biggest festival of this village. this festival come almost in the month of March(Falguna masa). it continue for three days. for this jatra village commit spend on an average one lack.people are enjoy festival also spend some money in this jatra. those persons are staying out side of village . they come back to home at the time of jatra. you can say this festival is a get together among the villegers
