Hyde Park is located on the South Side of Chicago, in Cook County, Illinois, seven miles south of the Chicago Loop. It is one of the most racially integrated neighborhoods in the US.
It is home to the University of Chicago and the Museum of Science and Industry. In 1893 it hosted the World's Columbian Exposition. It also the name of a Township that included numerous other neighborhoods that have all been annexed by the city of Chicago.
