A large roundabout on the outskirts of Basingstoke, where the motorway meets the ringroad and the old A30 London Road. The roundabout was originally intended to become a Trumpet Junction connecting the southern and western sectiosn of the Ring Road with the M3 Motorway. The plan would have involved diverting the slower A30 to join the Ring Road at the Rucstalls Flyover to the west of the existing Black Dam Roundabout (as seen on the attached image).
