The William P. Hobby, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts is a concert and performance venue located at 800 Bagby Street in downtown Houston, Texas on the edge of the Theater District. Opened to the public in 2002, It is named in honor of former Texas lieutenant governor and Houston businessman, William P. Hobby, Jr., whose family foundation donated the naming gift for the center. It features two performance halls, one for plays, and one for music.

The Hobby Center was built on the site of the former Sam Houston Coliseum, a 9,200-seat indoor arena, and the Houston Music Hall, a performing arts theater. Both facilities were opened in December 1938 to replace Sam Houston Hall, a wooden structure built for the 1928 Democratic Convention. The Coliseum and Music Hall were demolished in 1998.
