Three joined 4-story residential buildings competed together in the 1860s as rowhouses. They share the same basic design, each three bays wide and clad in red brick above ground-floor storefronts that have been largely altered over the years. The windows, which grow progressively shorter at each floor, have stone sills and either stone lintels or cornices. Two black metal fire escapes run down the joined facades, which are capped by a small, dentiled metal roof cornice. A penthouse level has been added above the roof on No. 158. The ground floors are occupied by Roy's Pizza, Belleclaire Cleaners, and Montmarte restaurant.
