Its a private hostel built in 1983. It is often thought to be the official hostel of Union Model High School (UMHS) which is not. But it has cater to so many students who come here for better education from far villages and towns. It was one of the oldest hostel in the area and so is a pioneer in giving a platform to many students even to the newly founded Springdale Higher Sec. School through this hostel. Now, Springdale is shifted to a new site some 500 meter away towards Chandel nearby the river. It still cater to both UMHS and Springdale School as an independent HOSTEL.
