This was the original 17th hole at Bobby Jones GC. Originally a 150 yard par 3, it was eliminated when they split up the 12th into two holes at the other end of the course around 1990 or so. They combined what was the 16th fairway with the 17th green to create the routing used today. The original 16th green can still be seen just to the south of the pond.
