Town of Islip beach. Many a local resident has learned to swim here. There's a snack bar (sometimes open, sometimes not), a playground, the beach, basketball courts, and a bandshell (which has been used for concerts and movies).

It's also the gateway to the Bay Shore Marina, which is a completely man-made location.
