Saintala is the new name of 'Sainyatala' meaning the military place. It used to be border place between two kingdoms of Bolangir and Kalahandi. It is a purely village dominated by tribal people and now is undergoing significant transformation after the starting of a central factory near to it. People are very innocent and simple living and hence continuosly exploited by the royal descendents and politicians. They still believe their king and queen as their destiny rather than choosing a common man to be their democratic representative. Whether it is BJD, BJP or congress, everybody have neglected its infrastructural developments including road, sanitation, and knowledge development. It host one of the beautiful ancinet temple depicting confluence of Shakti cult, Baishnavism, and Shaivaism. It has a nice hill named Jatia Dungru...
