"East End Beach is the City of Portland's only public beach. Located at the Eastern Promenade, the pebbly beach offers great views of Casco Bay. There are changing rooms and restrooms and a few picnic tables, but no lifeguard or food. Parking is limited."

Dogs are not officially allowed on East End Beach from Memorial Day through Labor Day. During the rest of the year dogs are allowed and can be unleashed, but must be under voice command. For more information Portland's Public Services office at (207) 874-8801.
