Vital to Wal-Mart's successful retail model are the enormous Walmart distribution centers that serve the thousands of stores across the states. Pennsylvania, for example, is home to five Walmart distribution centers-Bedford, Taylor, Tobyhanna, Woodland and this one called Pottsville, even though that city lies more than 7miles to the SE.

Wal-Mart completed construction of this 900,000 square foot state-of-the-art distribution and logistics facility on a 150-acre building site in 2006.
