Krishnan coil's Teppaa Kulam (Nagercoil)

This Kovil Kulam is used for Theppam (Float) festival once ina year. The Theppam festival always falla on Chitra Pournami day that comes between 15th April to 15th May. The Theppam used to be illuminated and there will be fire works. Thousands of people congregate to see the theppam.

  • This Theppakulam needs to be kept clean. Water is being polluted daily by number of bath takers using washing soap and bathing soap. A campaign to be organised by well wishers.
  • Thepakulam is very old constructed by the Maha rajas. Now it is becoming dirty due to so many reasons. 1. The water flow from the channel was completely blocked as the channel route was occupied by homeless poor people under Govt support 2. Outlet well on eatern corner is blocked because the drainage was closed. Debris are thrown inside. 3. No clearance annual by any 4.Washing cloths in the water. 5. No regular in and out flow of water and only rain water comess 6 All debris in rain reach ther as at Vathiya villai they redirected channel route throu road Total degeneration
