Anamudi (Anai mudi in Tamil) is the highest peak in Indian subcontinent, outside of the Himalayas. It is located in the southern region of Eravikulam National Park at the junction of the Cardamom Hills, the Anaimalai Hills and the Palni Hills. At a height of 2695m (8842ft), it is the highest elevation in South India.

After the transfer of Kuttampuzha panchayat to Ernakulam district, Anamudi peak is now situated on the border of Idukki and Ernakulam Districts of Kerala State. The peak belongs to Munnar Panchayat, Devikulam Taluk, Idukki and Kuttampuzha Panchayat, Kothamangalam Taluk, Ernakulam.

The peak is also the highest point in the Periyar River Basin.
