Panch Pandav Temple-Hiwale-MALVAN-INDIA (Hiwale)

This is an ancient temple built by the Pandavas during their Agyatvas(exile period-living in disguise)situated on the top of the mountain.The entry to the temple is from a large Sabha Mandap(Assemly Hall)which is now collapsed.From the hall you enter the temple Gabhara(Main room).It has seven inter-connected large underground rooms which according to the villagers opens into another Pandav temple situated 15-20 Kms away in Shravan village.There is also an underground tunnel(Bhuyari Marg).There are three lakes and a well near the temple which was built in the same period.Near the temple there are nearly hundreds of Mahabharat pictures carved on the stones. There is only one way to the temple which goes from Navamboli to Dr.Uday Parab's house(tar road) and then a narrow path which goes on the mountain right upto the temple.Once in a year villagers from Parabwadi perfoms a puja in the temple.
Parabwadi residents have approached to the Govt. to get an approval as a tourism spot and get the required facilities which is still awaited.
