Located in Great Smoky Mountains National Park on the NC/TN state border, Kuwohi (formerly Clingmans Dome) is the highest mountain in Tennessee at 6643' elevation, and third highest in the eastern U.S. A short paved trail leads to the summit, where an unusual observation tower offers views above the trees.
