park, race track -dont use, interesting place
Saskatoon's annual exhibition was held at this location (at the time named "Central Park", later "City Park") from 1905 to 1908. This was the second location for the exhibition, the first being the "Louise Grounds" which now make up the schoolyard of Nutana Collegiate on the east side of the river. In 1909, the exhibition moved to its present location beside Diefenbaker Park.
The site was redeveloped as Kinsmen Park, a public park and recreational facility. Even after a century, the outline of the former horserace track is clearly visible. The children's railroad track roughly follows the eastern perimeter of the racetrack.
