Kidston Estates is a mixture of old and new development that gets its name from Kidston Lake. Kidston Lake is a lifeguarded swimming spot in the summer and an ice skating spot in the winter. The green space around Kidston Lake is home to the Rocking Stone, after which the main road of Kidston Estates, Rockingstone Road, is named. The other streets are Feldspar Crescent, Fieldstone Street, Beachstone Drive and Grindstone Drive.
