The population of Beaver Falls Township was 331 as of the 2000 census.

Between 1860 and 1900, the present location of the Beaver Falls Park was the county seat of Renville County. Beaver Falls once had a hotel, flour mill, blacksmith shop, merchandise store, bank, school, saloon, implement and hardware store, lumber sawmill and brewery.
