Now a popular game refuge teeming with waterfowl, Swan Lake was once a place where Native Americans set up camps on the lake islands, where they were safe from attacks by other tribes.

It was drained temporarily in 2005 to wipe out the harmful invasive carp population.

Note the water levels change dramatically from year to year, so the polygon may show some marshy or currently dry areas.
