About three decades before there was only a ferry in between those lands. It took more than fifteen minutes to cross over by a ferry (small vallam). Then shri M.N. Chandraprakash, a Congress leader came forward to build this bund with the help of the public. The land owners were against it and they brought stay order from the court. Inspite of all that opposition, he and his men worked overnight and build this bund. Later the road came through the same path. Thanks MNC.
