Comfrey is a city in Brown and Cottonwood counties in Minnesota. The population was 382 at the 2010 census. The majority of the people live in Brown County.

Comfrey is located in sections 34-35 of Bashaw Township in Brown County, and within Selma Township in Cottonwood County. It was incorporated as a village in 1900, and platted in 1902. A post office had been established nearby in 1877. A hotel was built in 1899 and razed in 1940, and a large creamery operated from 1899 to 1955.

On March 29, 1998, Comfrey was hit by a strong F4 tornado which damaged or destroyed most of the town.
