Al Khadra Tourist Complex (Abu Nawas Tourism Complex)
The complex consists of 40 apartments, each apartment consists of a double room with a total area of 100 m 2 with its accessories. In February 1978, the General Establishment for Tourism established the first phase of the tourist complex on the island and completed its work at the end of October 1979
City Complex
The complex consists of 27 villas (4 villas) with special uses. The area of one house with its annexes and garden is 2500 m2. There are other tourist facilities such as restaurants, rural village, games room, swimming pools, kiosks and lake of fish.
Other tourist uses (hunting birds), which are famous for the island, including the cyclist, which has been the target of hunting rifles since the early English occupation of Baghdad.
In the island, there are rare birds, such as Hassoun, Thistle, Golden Lantern, different plaques, orchard and water birds (Khudairi, Ducks, Wazers, swans) as well as other animals. Such as foxes.
The Jadriya Bridge passes over the southern part of the island.
In the 1980s, the branch of the river adjacent to the Karkh side was canceled and the island was annexed to Karkh from Baghdad and canceled as an island.
