The National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is under the administration of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers. Established by Anglo-Irish Carmelites, the cornerstone of the Shrine was laid on Dec. 30, 1954, and was inaugurated on the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on July 16, 1964.

Is a relatively popular venue for weddings, has several multi-purpose halls, and a columbarium.
