Pinaglabanan Shrine was formerly a Garrison Camp of Filipino and American soldier during World War 2. There was an underground tunnel constructed on that time connected to Camp Crame.
After the war, it became a Dump-Site and "Informal Settlers" started living in here. When former President Joseph E. Estrada became a Mayor of this former town, he started to clean this area, relocating about a hundreds family in Tanay, Rizal.
