Once a major railroad shop complex on the Northern Central, was later operated by the PRR, eventually turning into their facility for constructing MoW equipment.

  • The Northern Central RR never owned or operated the Renovo Shops. They were built starting in 1863 by the Philadelphia and Erie RR, which was leased for 999 years by the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1861. The shops were later owned by the Penn Central RR and then Conrail, which closed the shops.
