Small borough of 1,318 people in rural north central Pennsylvania. The borough had over 4,000 residents in the early 1900's when the lumber and railroad industries were at their peak. The rail yard and repair facilities, which used to employ hundreds of people, on the north side of town have been closed for years. A small repair shop employing 80 people has opened in recent years.
